30 Inch Monitor Compatibility?

I am thinking about buying a 30 inch monitor for my computer.
The problem is that I am not sure if my computer is able to work with a 30 inch monitor because it is 32 bit and uses shared graphics.
I am not very computer literate, I just want to get a 30 inch monitor to play with my xbox 360 and to surf the internet.
(Not at same time)
I will not be using it to watch tv.
I have a Compaq Presario SR1834NX
Right now I have 1gb Ram but I am buying more to get 4gb or Ram.
Can I use a 30 inch Monitor with this computer or not?
I can't afford a new computer at this time.

If you are talking about those 30″ ultra-high-resolution WQXGA monitors that have a resolution of 2560×1600, it’s not a good idea.
Your XBox 360 will not be able to take full advantage of it. The highest your XBox can go is 1920×1080 (aka 1080p High Definition). And your Compaq’s VGA port will NOT work with a 30″ WQXGA monitor– Those require a video card with a dual-link DVI port.
If you want to add the capability to your computer to drive a 2560×1600 monitor, you will need to add a PCI Express 16x graphics card with dual-link DVI (yes, your SR2834NX has one available PCIe 16x slot). But that still leaves your XBox– It probably won’t work with a WQXGA monitor.
If you are talking about a 30″ LCD HDTV that can do 1080p (1920×1080), then that will indeed be a workable idea. That would be an LCD HDTV like this one: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as…
It all depends on the graphics card you are currently running. Sure, you could put a 30″ on your computer, but the display might be completely jacked up. I’m running an ATI Radeon X1900XT, which has the ability to support dual 30″ monitors simultaneously. Without knowing what you have, I can’t help you more. Do a web search on your graphics card, looking for monitor capacity.

I don't think a metabolism matters, it just depends on how much you brush.
Considering you keep it brushed, I'd say about 3 months for your hair to grow back.
But if you're black, I have no clue. Their hair is different.

After wisely avoiding being drowned out by the din of CES product launches Oppo has made official its new BDP-80 Blu-ray player. A lower priced version of the existing BDP-83 hardware (a comparison that should be familiar to owners of the company’s DV-980H/DV-983H DVD players,) it still features BD-Live compatibility, DVD-Audio and SACD playback … (Read on Source)

When Google launched Extensions for Chrome in December, they had around 300 of them ready to go in their gallery. A day later, that number was already up to 500. By now, there are a few thousand available, and that number just got multiple by several times as Google has announced that the latest official version of Chrome, version 4, now natively supports Greasemoneky user scripts. As Google engineer Aaron Boodman (who also happens to be the creator of Greasemonkey) writes today on the Chromium blog, on the popular site userscripts.org there are over 40,000 scripts alone. While he notes that not all of the user scripts written for Greasemonkey will work seamlessly with Chrome immediately (because of the differences between Chrome and Firefox), that should only affect 15%-25% of those over 40,000. He also notes that Google will continue to work on issues on their end to improve compatibility with these Greasemonkey scripts. While neither side is likely to admit it, this is another big…

I recommend the Dell G2410. It's a 24-inch LED monitor which will work with your iMac (though you need to buy an adapter to connect it). It costs around $300 but has image quality comparable to the $800 Apple LED Cinema Display.
Yeah, that’s fine right up until they kill me with their bullshit SUV.

3 one inches pipes will do it.
you can not put 4 because of the size constraint.
2 will not do because of volume constraint and the flow.

We tell ya — all this tablet talk sure has us feeling like it’s 2003. You know, minus all that Y2K hangover stuff. Anywho, Panasonic has today outed what it’s calling the planet’s lightest 12.1-inch convertible tablet PC, with the Toughbook C1 offering the line’s iconic rigidity while boasting 10 hours of battery life, an optional Gobi 2000 mobile broadband module and Intel’s decidedly potent 2.4GHz Core i5-520 processor. All told, the device weighs just 3.2 pounds with a single battery (3.7 pounds with twins), and there’s full support for digitizers and multitouch. Other specs include a shock-mounted, flex-connect 250GB hard drive, 802.11a/b/g/n WiFi, up to 8GB of DDR3 memory, a WXGA (1,280 x 800) LED-backlit panel, a triple hinge design and the ability to survive a 30-inch plummet. It’s available to (quite literally) smash iPads starting this June, though that $2,499 starting price may be somewhat off-putting to those without copious amounts of disposable income. For what you are talking about, there really arn't a lot of things that I can think of that would fit for what you want. One I can think of is response time. This will impact the time you have to react to situations in games so the lower the response time the better. I would go for somewhere around 8 milliseconds or lower. Other than that, there really isn't much that fits what you want. Brightness and contrast, stuff like that doesn't really make a difference because they are all about the same and can be adjusted anyway. If you want higher quality go for a DVI monitor instead of VGA, but once again a game will work just as good on VGA so this really isn't a big deal, but is better for the occasional movie.
One thing that you might look at is whether or not the screen is protected with a glass coating. If it is, there will often be a glare where there would not be if you didn't have the glass. If you want to touch the monitor a lot, get the glass, if not, then don't. I have a non glass one and have had no problems except the occasional friend that pokes it and it messes with the color. Just be careful.
Other than these things, I can't think of anything that will be a big deal for gaming. All monitors come with certain resolutions that games support so no big deal here either. I have a basic LCD that I use for games and have no problems with it, everything works great! Basically, pick the monitor you want, it should work good.
Hope this helps!
Troppo avanti!
There is only kind of a compatibility problem, and it isn't serious. What Excel 2007 is telling you is that the shading won't look exactly the same in Excel 2003. It will be close enough that you won't likely notice the difference. In other words, it may be a slightly different shade of the color that you are using.
Normally, you don't need to worry about those compatibility messages unless you are doing something that is new to Excel 2007 (such as using a new function, some conditional formatting things, etc).

You will probably need to consult HP support since we don't know what monitor you have. Do you have the audio cable plugged in from it to your computer (green end)?
